Accommodations - Stone Mountain Safaris Lodge

We specialize in Stone Sheep Hunts and offer quality Accommodation

Our beautiful custom cedar lodge is truly one of a kind. It is not only our home but yours while you enjoy your stay at Stone Mountain Safaris. At over 8500 square feet there is plenty of room for all. There are accommodations for up to eighteen as well as dining for groups of twenty or more. The lodge is located on our 500 acre ranch, set in the scenic Toad River valley surrounded by mountain views and wildlife. This is one of the most scenic areas in all of British Columbia.

While staying at the lodge enjoy wildlife art, big game trophies, wildlife viewing, fishing, quiet evenings, snowmobile tours, big screen television, nature hikes, horseback riding, home cooked meals, cross country skiing, billiards and the hot tub. Almost every evening you will see rocky mountain elk as well as white tail and mule deer. Take a short walk and you may even see stone sheep. There are many trails throughout the ranch and surrounding area for hiking and cross country skiing. The over two acre lawn provides lots of room for children to stretch their legs and play.

Enjoy home cooked meals expertly prepared. We use wild game as much as possible to provide a unique dining experience. Sample the savory taste of elk, moose, caribou or even stone sheep. We make fresh home baked bread for all meals. Our menu is varied and we try to accommodate your particular tastes. We are open to special requests as far as dietary restrictions are concerned. Breakfast is included with our bed and breakfast packages. Lunch and dinner are available upon request for additional cost.

Accommodations - while hunting or touring

Our remote back country camps consist of comfortable cabins and/or wall tents.
Many of our camps have propane heated showers and all cabins and wall tents are heated with wood burning stoves. Beds consist of handmade log beds and cots or bunks. Meals are wholesome and prepared by your guide or cook depending on the staffing in that particular camp. These remote camps are serviced by fix winged aircraft or horse, either way you will not go without!

At times, we “spike camp” out from the primary back country camps. These spike camps will consist of a wall tent or dome tent depending on the season and are serviced by horseback only. On later hunts a collapsible stove will be added to the wall tent to provide a more comfortable experience for sleeping, eating and drying out gear. You will be sleeping on the floor of the tents on a foam and air mattress bedroll, not the 4 seasons but comfortable nonetheless.  Meals will be similar to the primary back country camps with a bit of freeze dried food added to help the horses out and to be as efficient as possible. Most hunters truly enjoy spiking out as it can really add to the overall success and enjoyment of the trip!
